Business Meeting tonight. Treasurer extraordinaire Kenn Van Dieren reported that the state of our club finances is sound. Money in the bank plus expected revenues exceed expected expenses leaving the Shaheen Administration at year-end in good shape. Membership is improving as there are 3 potential new members attending meetings and "Not your Father's Rotary" Meetings coming up at Dick & Linda Butler's home. BJ Cunningham has organized the "Winter Party" at the Legacy at Cranberry Landing on Feb. 27th and the St. Patty's Day Party at St. Ann's on March 13th. This years entertainment at the Legacy will be none other than our very own guitar duo of BJ Cunningham and Doug Decker accompanied by the Irondequoit Rotary Winter Party Chorale (the rest of us who show up and sing). It should be great evening so hope all can attend. Kudos to BJ for making all the arrangements. Next Friday, the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce will be honoring Les Kaszuba at their annual Awards dinner at I-Square. Click here to register if interested in attending or see President Dave. President Dave reports that Lee Steinfeldt had a very successful knee replacement surgery and is recovering nicely. Jennie Gugino will be needing one soon so keep both in your thoughts and prayers. President Dave would like to increase our club social events (maybe one every few months) and club volunteer "hands-on" projects (one every 6 weeks). Please send him any ideas on either. His first social event being planned is the RBTL play "Beautiful" on Jan. 26th so please see Dave if interested. |
