Program Notes
Alex Hipolito is the Constituent Liaison for the Town of Irondequoit.  One of the programs he manages is the RISE (Revitalizing Irondequoit's Small Business Economy). The COVID-19 health crisis has created an unprecedented burden on businesses located in the Town of Irondequoit, with the abrupt closing of the nation’s economy. The Town of Irondequoit has created a small business grant program intended to provide working capital for Irondequoit small businesses which have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 health crisis. The “Revitalizing Irondequoit’s Small business Economy” or RISE program will use supplemental funds to the Town’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) made available from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.  The money does not come out of local property taxes.  Grants range from $2500 - $7000 depending on how severely impacted the business was due to COVID-19.

Irondequoit qualified for this grant due to it's demographic make-up.  This program is for brick & mortar businesses only.  The grant consisted of three phases with varying qualifications for businesses as it goes along.  The money can only be used for qualified expenses.  There has been a whirlwind of activity in the media to promote this within the town so that every eligible small business can take advantage of it.  So far, 101 businesses have received grants totaling $390,000.  Applications and all information is on the town website HERE or contact Alex Hipolito at 336-6029 or ahipolito@irondequoit.org.
