Kim Miranda was inducted as the newest member of Irondequoit Rotary. Kim is an Associate Advisor and Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in commercial real estate at SVN | Realty Performance Advisors. Guy Kittelsen conducted the induction and Jim Kozlowski was her sponsor. Kim has already attended several meetings, volunteered for the Pasta Dinner Committee, and is sure to be great addition to our club. We will hear more from Kim at an upcoming meeting on July 31st. Welcome Kim! Tonight was a Business Meeting. Jason Miller attended Roc City Rotary Club meeting last week. The club was chartered in 2018, has about 20 members who are all young and mostly interested in community service. They meet at 3 Heads Brewery and were very interested to hear about Jason's experience in Rotary. Jennie Gugino sent a nice thank you letter for our club's good wishes for her recent knee surgery which went well with Jennie recovering nicely. Jason Miller and President Bob helped Kenn Van Dieren pack up his truck for an upcoming trip to Spokane to attend a convention. Safe travels, Kenn! Pasta Dinner Committee meeting met last week. A good start that focused on bringing new ideas to the table (which also had Cannoli on it thanks to Dom and Marilyn Fantauzzo who hosted the meeting). Everyone attending welcomed our newest members Chris Sekula and Kim Miranda who had great input at the meeting. There will be monthly meetings until the event. More to come with updates on decisions next month. President Bob reviewed his budget for the year. He added money for PR and Member Recruitment. Some discretionary spending was cut due to the loss of "Fine" revenue from missed meetings. Club voted to approve the budget as proposed. The Playhouse at Haccamo project was discussed. Timing is still TBD pending quotes from suppliers. A list of programs and upcoming events was reviewed and can be found in our website calendar. |
