Meeting Notes
Meeting Venue:  The meeting on May 18th will be at th Hampton Inn next to Pasta Villa.  Terri Bastuk has sent separate email with info and request for RSVP.
Membership:  Lou DiPrima and committee (Elena Barbone, Jim Kozlowski, Dick Butler) met last week and are preparing drafts of new business cards, elevator speech, mentor program, Orientation Passport program, and new member info packet.  President Lynn will soon send out a survey to members to determine membership status before the new year begins on July 1st.
Application for membership received:  Tabitha O'Connor, IPD Dispatch Clerk sponsored by Kim Miranda.
Drawdown:  so far 93 tickets reserved.  See Dave Shaheen & Tom Kosanke for your tickets.  Please bring in all ticket and dinner monies to the May 18th meeting.  Remember, no meeting on May 25 because the Drawdown is May 26.
Scholarships:  Scholarship award for West Irondequoit was completed.  East Irondequoit award will be presented on June 9th.  Bishop Kearney did not have a scholarship application this year (very strange)... We will vote at upcoming Business meeting on whether to split the money that was budgeted for BK to the other 2 scholars or simply bank it in our general funds.
Haccamo Playhouse:  The team of Bob Spatola, Lou DiPrima, and Peter Mendick spent a good portion of last Saturday applying the plywood and are mostly done.  Great Job!
Strategic Plan:  President Lynn will send out survey soon to determine satisfaction among club members.
District Grant:  our project with "Keeping our Promise" organization was approved for a $2000 grant from the District which matches the money our club will also spend.  We will be creating training and support materials for refugees to use in their transition to Rochester from Afghanistan and other wartime areas.
Camp Haccamo Car Show June 4th at Greece Ridge Mall.  See Ray Holla if you can volunteer.
Quote of the Week by Steven Wright:  "I almost had a psychic girlfriend, .....but she left me before we met."
