Neal Gorman, Board Chair for Camp Haccamo was our speaker tonight. Dolly Kujawa, Executive Director also attended.
The camp is celebrating its 70th year as it started in 1956 by a small group of Monroe County Rotary Clubs. In 1960, the camp was built in Penfield near Panorama Plaza. The camp moved to Sunshine Campus in 2009 and rents 2 weeks of camp each year. First week is for youth ages 7-18 and second week for young adults ages 19-30 (the adult week is the only one in the Rochester area). Goal is to have 180 campers = hundreds of smiles!

every camper.

There is currently a proactive effort to increase fundraising to preserve their foundation and partnership reach via new communities, organizations and clubs. There is also an effort being made to increase camp visibility and communications.
There is a need for volunteers to join the board so please do so if you can!
At the end of the presentation, President-Elect Steve Schwock and Ray Holla presented Neal with our club's annual donation to the camp!
See Neal's wonderful presentation.
