Tonights meeting notes taken by the devilish duo of Terri Bastuk & Ray Holla. Meeting started with “You are My Sunshine” as a nod the great weather we have had. Patrina Freeman provided a heartfelt invocation! Jason Miller reviewed the financials. He reported that the Chase account will be open soon. Twenty thousand will be transferred out of the general fund and earmarked for a future strategic project. There are a few outstanding invoices which event leads will follow-up on (Steak Roast, Rotary on the Bluff). Pasta Dinner is making great strides with many tickets sold, but we need everyone to keep pushing ticket sales. Remember that if you want your sponsors to be recognized in the hard-copy 1-page "thank you" flyer that will be provided (1 per car) the deadline for getting the money & sponsor information to Lynn Wozniak is this Friday, October 29th. See the Pasta Dinner page on our website for the current list of sponsors. The club will be purchasing nine Irondequoit Rotary signs at $40/sign to replace existing road signs. The District Environmental Action Committee is looking for Rotarians. There will be a strategic planning workshop in late January on a Saturday in the Irondequoit library. More to come. We are trying to gather District Grant ideas sooner rather than later. Anyone with ideas, please share with President Lynn or Terri Bastuk. The club would also like to get involved in an International grant. One suggestion was smokeless cooking stoves for other countries. See more at stoveteam.org. Any international grant ideas, please see Dick Butler. Ray Holla shared that the adult camping did occur at Camp Haccamo. Tom Kosanke and Ray are exploring a tree planting at the Camp in the spring for Mrs. McGrail. The Boy Scout Troop and Pack #233 is seeking a chartering organization. Insurance is covered by the Boy Scouts. Documentation was handed out at the meeting. The club will continue the Lucca trial for another two weeks. Program Notes- Don’t forget - Next two weeks (October 27 & November 3), we will again be at Lucca's (425 Merchants Rd, Rochester, NY 14609). Any comments - good or bad, please touch base with Jason Miller. |
