Last Saturday, Irondequoit Rotarians Jennie Gugino and Les Kaszuba along with his son Craig attended the Denim and Diamonds sold out fund raising Gala for Angels of Mercy. It was co-founded by Jennie and her daughter Mary Jo. The organization supports women in need from human trafficking, domestic violence and other related situations women may face locally, nationally and globally. It was held at Eagle Vale Country Club and was a huge success!! An extremely worthy endeavor!
Little Free Library - Deb Muratore was here last week as speaker to tell us how proud she was to be part of our Little Library Program in 2017 and how she recently replaced the weather-worn library with a new one. Seen here along with Ray Holla.
Painting Project at Open Door Mission - strong attendance from our club over the weekend for this Rochester Rotary club service event: Carl Ceccanti, Brandon Barnhart, and Bob & Judene Scheidt. Pasta Dinner Update - Tickets are being distributed by Bob Scheidt along with information on sponsorships to help everyone making sales. Carl Ceccanti has joined the Pasta Dinner Committee. Bob is coordinating which members will pick up sponsors by those past members who no longer are selling tickets. See Bob before approaching new sponsors from the list. Calendar - planning to schedule the District Governor visit, some New Member Introductory presentations. Please note that Holiday Baskets Party has been moved from Dec 10th to Dec 17th. Membership - We are looking into a collaboration partnership with Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce. Potentially setting up Corporate Memberships between our two groups so that we can be more aligned and work to help both our causes. More to come in the near future hopefully. Durand Lake Trail Signage - Tom Kosanke to follow up with County to determine best place for sign and have it installed. Financial Report - cash flow for the club is in good shape. CD with Signature Project money is coming due so Lynn Wozniak will look into other short term favorable rates. Work on town hall signature project is moving slowly. |
