Lynn shared a Rotary Foundation minute - The Arch Klumph Society is comprised of Rotarians who have donated $250K or more and there are more than 700 members in this society.

Financials - Savings are in good shape. There is $750 due from steak night and the bluff. Please pay if you have not done so.  Printed financials will be supplied by the end of the month.

Membership  -  Jeffrey Freeman, Senior Analyst at Common Ground Health (Patrina Freeman's husband) has submitted an application to become a member. The club looks forwarded to inducting five new members on 10/13. The District Governor will be revisiting the club for the induction.

Rotary Foundation- the club is on schedule to meet its goal percentage wise.

Irondequoit Rotary Foundation -With the Paris-Kirwan contribution, the foundation balance is $10.6k.

District Grant update-a number of students attended the Urban League’s Youth Development Workshop. ICARE’s website is progressing.

Pasta Dinner (Major updates) - All tickets have been distributed. Bob reminded members to check their tickets before they are sent out as some tickets didn’t have information on the front.
As a reminder, Lynn will be collecting the money. Please make sure the correct spelling of the sponsor is provided as it will be included in website advertising and in the event one-page flyer. Please provide funds prior to 10/26.

The club has received two quotes for updating the Bishop Kearney ovens. The ovens need to be updated as they impacted our 2020 pasta dinner productivity. The club is looking to contribute money for this needed work. This will be in lieu of our annual donation to BK.

Jason will be sending an email about reimbursement protocol especially since we have the pasta dinner coming up. Bob Scheidt needs to approve all expenses.

Camp Haccamo – the camp will host the adults during one weekend in October (Contingent on COVID). Ray will keep the club updated if there is an opportunity to volunteer.  Playhouse – anyone with carpentry skills is asked to help this weekend and next weekend. Contact Lee if interested.

Literacy-Lynn will provide info to Andrea and Elena from previous literacy workshops. Kenn is ready to order the dictionaries. Estimated cost is $1730. We will need a front and back label. Also discussed making bookmarks. Dan will coordinate printing the bookmarks. BJ will start to call the schools regarding distribution schedules.

Rotary signs –Confusion over whether this project is already complete. Committees to reconvene.

Community Requests- Eastridge High School’s homecoming is next weekend to include a parade, a carnival followed by the game. The school is inviting community organizations to staff a table for free.  Lynn will send an email to garner volunteer interest.

Mary’s Place is looking for volunteers on Wednesdays to help load and unload. They will speak to the club in the near future. Need name of organization.

Lynn is looking for someone to research grant opportunities regarding natural disasters and report back.

Meeting Location - Lynn started the discussion based off the email she sent out earlier today. The club discussed location alternatives. Lucca (previously Remington’s, but new owner) is a potential location. The proposal is to do a two-week trial during the first two weeks of October.  Terri and Lou will meet with Mike Nolan to see if I-Square has an interest. Members are encouraged to look at other venues.

Misc. – The club auctioned off the last case of beer at tonight’s meeting. Of course, Ray Holla won! Polo shirts – Let Tom Kosanke know if would like one ordered. New members get a free shirt. Reminder of the Leadership institute on 10/16. Let Lynn know if interested.
