Ray Holla is making schedule for delivery to every 3rd grade in Irondequoit. Tentative dates: Dec-4 @ 1:35pm Durand Eastman, Dec-8 @ 2pm Laurel Pardee. Look for an email soon on all of the confirmed dates.
Christmas Tree Lighting Event at the Town Hall Look for more info in your email. Date is Sunday, Dec-7 at Town Hall around 6pm. Need volunteers to man the Rotary table. Shop with a Cop Date is Saturday, Dec-6 at Irondequoit Rec Center/Target. Lynn Wozniak is purchasing Target Gift Cards that we can donate to the Police event. Louis DiPrima will give more details soon. Treasurers Report Lynn Wozniak did another wonderful job updating the club on the many details associated with club revenues and expenses. All is well and budget is running pretty much as planned. We are filing an extension for our taxes but expect to be finished by end of year. Long discussion about when to move the Pasta Dinner money from Irondequoit Rotary Foundation to the club for upcoming needed expenses. Lynn will work on what is needed for operational needs and what % of funds can be invested to earn interest. Lynn is retiring from the Treasurer position in June so a replacement is needed to step up. Lynn has created a strong template to follow and will train the next Treasurer. To ease the burden on next year's Treasurer, Bob Scheidt will handle all expenses associated with Pasta Dinner. That means someone also needs to step up to take on Bob's role as Pasta Dinner Chairman as he steps aside after several great years at the helm. Board of Director's Review - All Pasta Dinner net revenue over the budgeted amount will go to the Discretionary Budget item. Almost $3,000 is expected.
- The board recommended the club donate $500 to the following and the club voted to approve:
- Camp Day Dreams
- Rochester Ecology Project
- Irondequoit Food Cupboard (using a $500 gift certificate we will purchase from Palmer's Food who have been so generous to us as Pasta Dinner in-kind sponsors)
- The bike racks with Irondequoit Rotary signage we purchased to be used at the Town Campus are on order and should be here in the spring.
- New Calendar items: Jan-14 will be Foundation Presentation from the District Foundation chair. No meeting next week but Club will have a dinner the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving at Nick's Sea Breeze Inn. See Lou for reservations.
