Tonight was a business meeting. Treasurer Jason Miller reports that finances are in great shape with a very healthy bank account. The upcoming Strategic Planning workshop will help us determine how to best use the money at hand. President Lynn is requesting that newer members please contact her to attend the Strategic Planning workshop on Saturday, January 29th (8am - 1pm) at the Culver Ridge Fire Station. 12 members are needed and we have 7 signed up so need 5 more. Board of Directors Review: (1) We have looked into helping tornado victims and have located contact information for the Mayfield Kentucky Rotary. We will send a small donation at this time as there are no formal requests that we can address. We will ask them to contact us with a more detailed need in the future as things settle down. They appear to have plenty of help at the moment. (2) The "5th Wednesday Social Event" will be a dinner at Lucca's on December 29th at 6pm. (3) The club had set aside money to support a Global Grant for the Stovetop Project but the grant part of this has not been approved by Rotary International (President Lynn did not know why...) so we have withdrawn our support of a donation at this time pending further information. (4) The paperwork for the Boy Scout charter is underway but taking longer than anticipated. |
