Durand Lake Trail Project

Irondequoit Rotary’s latest project is to provide enhanced trail decking at locations in Durand Eastman Park surrounding Durand Lake.  The enhanced trail decking provides opportunity to more effectively hike around Durand Lake and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding environment.   It is the first phase of a multi-year project to enhance accessibility of the Park for residents of all ages to enjoy. Irondequoit Rotary partnered with Monroe County Parks Administration to identify areas of the park that had the most need.  Irondequoit Rotary members were joined by local Scout volunteers and the Irondequoit Rotary Interact Club to begin phase one of the project.
